Asia Map Puzzle
Grade Level: Middle School and up
Submitted by: Margaret

Students learn the countries and capitals of Asia. They put countries in the right locations on a map of Asia.

Materials/Preparation:

Download and install "Asia Puzzle Map" on the PC. The URL is http://www.yourchildlearns.com/puzzle_asia.htm

Activity:

The student chooses 'countries' or 'capitals'. Both games come with or without hints, and can be played with or without being timed. A country appears on the right hand side of the screen, and the student drags it and drops it to the correct location on a map of Asia. The name of the country appears with the country. To play the game with capitals, the name of the capital and a star symbol appear on the right of the computer screen, and the student
drags it to the right country. The student chooses 'countries' or 'capitals'. An interactive game, played with brightly-colored pieces, helps students remember the countries.

Additional Comments:

This game works like a wooden map puzzle game, except that you can't lose Thailand under the bookcase.
