South America Map Puzzle
Grade Level: Middle School and up
Submitted by: Margaret

Students learn the countries and capitals of South America, by moving the pieces (countries) on to a blank map of South America.

Materials/Preparation:

Download and install the South America Puzzle Map at http://www.yourchildlearns.com/puzzle_sam.htm

Activity:

The student chooses 'countries' or 'capitals'. Both games come with or without hints, and can be played with or without being timed. A country appears on the right hand side of the screen, and the student drags it and drops it to the correct location on a map of Europe. The name of the country appears with the country. To play the game with capitals, the name of the capital and a star symbol appear on the right of the computer screen, and the student
drags it to the right country.
