Children feel and experience the ocean in the sand/water table.
Objectives:
To feel and experience the ocean in the sand/water table.
Materials: sand/water table
sand
water
blue food coloring
salt
shells
shovels
buckets
strainers
plastic ocean animals.
Plan: - Put sand, water, salt, food color, shells, buckets, ocean animals in the table.
- Allow the children to explore the color, texture of the water and dig for shells and fish.
Comments:
The children really got into the muddy, green color of the sand, water and food color, much like the real ocean.
