A fun art activity that ties into a pumpkin theme. It would be a great follow up to a trip to the pumpkin patch!
Materials: orange paint
brown bags of all sizes
green pipe cleaners
black precut triangles and circles
bale of hay
Plan: - Have students paint brown paper bags with orange paint. Provide a variety of sizes for them to choose from (lunch and grocery store sizes).
- Provide students with pre cut squares, circles and triangles to choose from for eyes, noses, and mouths.
- Stuff paper bags with newspaper and close them with green pipe cleaners.
- Twist the end of the pipe cleaners to create vines.
- Display your pumpkins on a bale of hay in the classroom
