Fill in the Missing Number Pumpkin Number Line

The pumpkin number line is missing some numbers. Fill in the missing numbers on the blank pumpkins. You can also download a complete pumpkin number line with no missing numbers.

There are two files. Each three-page file has three columns of pumpkins to a page, forming a number line from 1 to 36. In the missing number file some pumpkins are blank for students to fill in; the complete file has every number.

Ways to use it

• Have students write the missing numbers on the blank pumpkins.
• Cut the columns apart and tape them together into one long number line.
• Use the complete number line for counting on and counting back.
• Hang the complete number line on the wall for reference.
• Have students use the number line to solve simple addition problems.
• Laminate a page and use dry erase markers at a math center.
