St. Patrick's Day Playdough Mat

Print mat onto cardstock and laminate.  Students can practice their fine motor skills to form the images on the mat:  rainbow, shamrock, and square.

Ways to use it

• Print on cardstock and laminate so the mat can be used again.
• Roll playdough into snakes to trace the rainbow arcs.
• Use different colors of dough for each band of the rainbow.
• Talk about the square: count its sides and corners.
• Put the mat in a fine motor center during March.
• Use a dry-erase marker to trace the shapes if no dough is available.
