Gingerbread Printable Border Paper With and Without Lines

Don’t Miss our other Gingerbread Man printables and teaching ideas

Each gingerbread design is a single page with a border of red-and-white candy canes and green ribbon, red hearts in the corners and a gingerbread house with a gingerbread man and two small trees in the bottom left corner. The blank page leaves the center open, and the other three have handwriting lines with a dashed middle line, wide lines or narrow lines that fit around the house.

Here are some printable border pages for the holiday season. You can use them for writing letters, handwriting practice, story writing, lists, newsletters and so much more.  There are four printable designs to choose from:

Ways to use it

  • Choose the right lines: Give the handwriting-line page to beginning writers and the wide or narrow lines to older children.
  • Gingerbread stories: After reading a version of The Gingerbread Man, have children retell the story or write a new ending.
  • How-to writing: Have children write the steps for decorating a gingerbread house or cookie.
  • Holiday lists and letters: Use the pages for wish lists, thank-you notes or letters to family.
  • Draw and write: Use the blank page for a picture and a few sentences, or for a class newsletter or flyer.
  • Final drafts: Save the border paper for publishing a finished piece of writing to display.
