How to Use the Printable Alphabet Lotto Game
Give each player one Lotto card.
Place all letter tiles face down on the table.
Choose one player to be the Caller.
The Caller turns over a letter tile, says the letter sound, and shows the letter to the group.
Players look for that letter on their card and cover it with a counter, button, or M&M.
The first player to cover the middle and four corners, or five letters in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) is the winner.
Tip: Always say both the letter name and the letter sound to build strong phonics foundations.
Extension Ideas
Word Game: After playing Lotto, use the letter tiles to make simple 3-letter words (CVC).
Choose one vowel (a, e, i, o, u) and two consonants.
See how many words you can build (e.g., cat, bag, pet, big, dug).
Matching Pairs: Print an extra set of letter tiles on colored cardstock and play a simple memory game:
Place all tiles face down.
Take turns flipping two tiles to find matching letters.
