A to Z Teacher Stuff is Celebrating 28 Years Online! 🎉
Did the Internet even exist that long ago?? Yes… yes, it did! In fact, A to Z was around before the days of Google, YouTube, or smartphones. Over the years, this site has been a labor of love, evolving through many seasons of life, including the birth of three of my own children and several side projects.
Now, in 2025, it’s finally time to bring A to Z Teacher Stuff into a new era with some big (and exciting!) changes.
🚫 Advertising is Changing
Since day one, I’ve been committed to offering free teaching resources, and have relied on advertising to keep the site going so that teachers wouldn’t have to pay.
But as many of you have noticed, ad quality has declined. Despite my best efforts, I can’t always filter out misleading, distracting, or obtrusive ads.
One moment really drove this home: Martha, an 87-year-old retired teacher who still volunteers in classrooms, was misled by an ad on my site. That was the final straw. I wondered how many other Marthas have had a similar experience without ever reaching out?
I knew then that I couldn’t allow advertising to damage the trust I’ve spent decades building. This won’t happen overnight, but my ultimate goal is to phase out most third-party ads and instead promote my own trusted sites and resources.
✅ Free Resources Will Remain!
A to Z was built on the idea of sharing freely, and that won’t change. However, many of the free resources have been downloaded and shared in ways that bypass the site entirely.
To help protect the content and keep it sustainable, downloads and access will soon require a free account. This simple change helps ensure I can continue offering high-quality materials, without relying on ad networks that don’t align with my standards.
💎 Introducing Low-Cost Premium Resources
For those who want even more, I’ll be offering a low-cost premium membership with:
-
Exclusive printable tools and books
-
Personalization features for creating custom worksheets
-
Premium-level resources to save time and enhance learning
This also ties in with my other projects like HandwritingTeacher.com and KinderReaders.com, where I’ll be continuing to grow a collection of tools and resources for teachers and families.
Thank you for supporting A to Z Teacher Stuff for the past 28 years. Whether you’ve been here since the beginning or just joined last week—I’m so grateful you’re here. Here’s to the next chapter!
