Squirrel Coloring Page – S is for Squirrel

Choose from these fun squirrel coloring pages for learning. Trace and color the uppercase and lowercase s and color the cute squirrel. The other coloring page features the same cute squirrel and 5 acorns to color and count.

Ways to use it

  • Letter S practice: Have children start at the star and trace the dotted path inside the big S and little s, then name other words that begin with the /s/ sound.
  • Counting: After coloring, have children set one counter, button or real acorn on each numbered acorn and count them aloud.
  • Number order: Cut the numbered acorns apart, mix them up and have children put them back in order from 1 to 5.
  • Name writing: Children write their names in the “My name is:” box, which makes these easy to collect and display.
  • Fall center: Keep copies at a coloring or fine motor center during a fall or squirrel theme.
  • Read-aloud follow-up: Color after reading a book about squirrels and talk about why squirrels gather and hide acorns in the fall.
